right decisions.
Review: 4 out of 5 stars
My
daughter’s first comment when reading this book was how amazing would it be to
have a special magical jacket to help us know what is right or wrong; in this
instance it was to help a little boy named Kai who received this special gift anonymously.
Kai and the Magic
Jacket was written well and is an easy book to understand, both my 7 year and 9
year old read a page each and besides a few names they needed help
with, they found it relatively easy.
The illustrations
are wonderful and we also enjoyed the small tidbits about the Chinese
traditions, the wisdom of Kai’s ancestors and the small pieces of humour.
The underlying
message of kindness, values and understanding was portrayed in an easy to
understand manner and the bullying was written well and not over the top.
Quote: A brave man does
what is right; not what someone else wants him to do.
Thank you to Blissful
